Usage
Ensure the product, object, and room temperatures are at least +10 °C for optimal results (ideally 20-25 °C with 40-60% relative humidity). Stir the product well before use. The product is ready to use, but can be combined with Legno Hardener (7084000210) for enhanced durability on floors and stairs.
Substrate Preparation:
- Ensure the wood is dry, clean, able to hold paint, and free of separating substances such as grease, wax, silicone, or resin.
- Sand the wood uniformly in stages up to grit size 180.
- Remove all sanding dust thoroughly.
Application Steps:
- Basic Treatment: Apply 1 thin coat of Legno Dura-Öl (7035) using a cup gun, brush, or roller. For inner surfaces of furniture/cabinets, apply only one thin coat due to possible odours.
- Intermediate Sanding: After 5 hours (follow-up treatment time), lightly smooth sand with grit size 220-280.
- Remove Sanding Dust: Clean the surface thoroughly.
- Final Treatment: Apply 1 final thin coat of Legno Dura-Öl (7035).
Two-Component Application (for floors/stairs):
- Mix 10 parts Legno Dura-Öl (7035) with 1 part Legno Hardener (7084000210). Stir the hardener carefully into the product before processing.
- Pot life is 3 hours once mixed. Increased temperatures reduce pot life.
- Ensure the primer does not dry for more than 24 hours before applying the finishing coat.
Important Notes:
- For hardwoods and tropical woods rich in active substances, always perform a test treatment with Legno Dura-Öl (7035) first.
- Provide good room ventilation to ensure proper drying. Low ventilation can delay drying.
- Clean working equipment immediately after use with Legno-Reiniger (7003) or Adlerol-Terpentinölersatz (7231).
