Achieve a Superior, Long-Lasting Finish for Interior Woodwork.

ADLER Lignovit Interior UV 100 is the professional’s choice for treating interior wall and ceiling elements. This water-based, thin-layer wood glaze is specifically formulated to enhance and protect softwoods, delivering a beautifully transparent and matt finish that preserves the natural character of the wood. Its high breathability contributes to a healthy and pleasant indoor climate, a key selling point for your clients.

Protect Your Work Against Yellowing.

The primary challenge with softwoods is their tendency to change colour over time due to UV exposure. Lignovit Interior UV 100 incorporates powerful UV absorbers that effectively stabilise the wood’s lignin. This provides much longer stabilisation of the wood’s natural appearance than conventional colourless glazes, ensuring your projects look pristine for years to come and reducing callbacks.

Engineered for Efficiency and Reliability.

Designed for industrial and trade use, this glaze offers excellent processing properties for spray or brush application. Its quick-drying formula streamlines your workflow, allowing for faster project completion and increased productivity. Trust ADLER for a reliable, consistent coating that meets the highest professional standards.

How-To Steps

  1. Substrate Preparation: Ensure wood is dry (13% ± 2% moisture), clean, and free of grease, wax, or resin. Sand smooth surfaces with 120 grit sandpaper in the direction of the grain. Round off sharp edges.
  2. Stirring: Stir the product thoroughly before use, avoiding the introduction of air bubbles.
  3. Application: Apply one coat of Lignovit Interior UV 100 evenly using a cup gun, brush, or vacuum coater. Maintain a product, object, and room temperature of at least +10°C.
  4. Drying: Allow to dry. The surface is sandable and recoatable after approx. 1 hour under optimal conditions (23°C, 50% RH).
  5. Finishing: Apply a second coat if required. Clean the equipment immediately with water.

Recommendations

Particularly suitable for spruce and fir. Not suitable for coloured hardwoods like meranti and mahogany. For reclaimed or steamed wood, consider alternative products like ADLER Innenlasur (5309). Always perform a trial coat on the original substrate to verify the final colour and finish. For spray applications, use of a respirator (A2/P2) is recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Lignovit Interior UV 100 be used on hardwood floors?

No, this product is a thin-layer glaze specifically designed for non-load-bearing interior surfaces, such as softwood wall and ceiling elements. It is not suitable for hardwoods or high-traffic areas, such as flooring.

What is the main benefit of the UV 100 protection?

The integrated UV absorbers significantly slow down the natural yellowing process of softwoods like spruce and fir. This maintains the wood’s original light appearance for much longer than traditional colourless glazes, ensuring a lasting, high-quality finish.

Is dilution necessary for spray application?

The product is ready to use. However, depending on your spray equipment and ambient conditions, you can dilute it with up to 10% water to achieve the optimal viscosity for application.

What is the VOC content, and why is the A+ rating important?

The product has a very low VOC content of max. 20 g/l. The French A+ rating is the best possible classification, indicating very low emissions of volatile pollutants into the indoor air. This is crucial for projects where indoor air quality is a priority, such as schools, homes, and offices.
