Description

Achieve Flawless Finishes: The Essential Primer for Perfect Adhesion

  • Optimized Adhesion: Uniformly levels substrate absorbency, preventing uneven drying and ensuring superior bonding for paints and renders.
  • Versatile Application: Ideal for a wide range of porous surfaces, including plaster, concrete, AAC, natural stone, and gypsum boards, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Eco-Friendly Formulation: Water-dilutable, solvent-free, and low odor, promoting a healthier application environment.
  • Exceptional Coverage: A highly concentrated formula allows for significant dilution (up to 1:5), offering excellent spreading rate and cost-effectiveness.

Unevenly absorbent substrates can compromise even the highest quality topcoats, leading to patchy finishes, poor adhesion, and ultimately, project failures. Caparol CapaSol Konzentrat is engineered to eliminate these challenges, providing a perfectly prepared surface for every application.

This highly concentrated, water-dilutable special primer is your go-to solution for ensuring optimal adhesion and a consistently beautiful finish. By deeply penetrating and leveling the absorbency of porous materials, CapaSol Konzentrat creates a uniform foundation that is ready to receive paints, plasters, and other coatings without compromise. Say goodbye to frustrating blotches and hello to professional-grade results that stand the test of time.

Designed for both interior and exterior use, CapaSol Konzentrat offers unparalleled versatility across a myriad of construction materials. From traditional renders and concrete to modern gypsum plasterboards and cellular concrete, this primer prepares every surface to perfection. Its solvent-free, low-odor composition makes it a preferred choice for professionals who prioritize both performance and a comfortable working environment.

Invest in the foundation of your success. Caparol CapaSol Konzentrat doesn’t just prime; it transforms challenging substrates into ideal canvases, guaranteeing the longevity and aesthetic appeal of your finished work. Usage

Substrate Preparation: Ensure substrates are solid, dry, clean, and free from any substances that may prevent good adhesion. Refer to Technical Information No. 650 for specific substrate pre-treatment guidelines.

Thinning Instructions:

  • Normally absorbent substrates: Dilute CapaSol Konzentrat 1:3 to 1:4 with clean tap water.
  • Strongly/highly absorbent substrates: Dilute 1:4 to 1:5 with tap water. Apply if necessary using a wet-on-wet method to the saturation point. One priming coat is usually sufficient.
  • Concrete, lightweight concrete, cement-containing mortars/fillers, cement/anhydrite screeds: Dilute with 2 parts of tap water. The primer must not form a closed, shiny film.

Application: Apply liberally and work in well with a surface brush or whitewash brush to achieve optimal consolidation. While roller or high-pressure spray application is less suitable, the product is applicable with airless spraying equipment (Spray angle: 60°, Nozzle size: 0.029″, Spraying pressure: 50 bar).

Drying Time: Recoatable after approximately 12 hours at +20 °C and 65 % relative humidity. Lower temperatures will extend drying time.

Tool Cleaning: Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with water.

Important Note: Do not apply to horizontal surfaces exposed to rain or moisture.

Frequently asked questions

  • What types of surfaces is Caparol CapaSol Konzentrat suitable for? This primer is ideal for solid, porous, and unevenly absorbent substrates like renders, concrete, gypsum plasterboards, unfired bricks, cellular concrete, and natural stones, both interior and exterior.
  • How should I dilute the concentrate? Dilution ratios vary by substrate absorbency: 1:3 to 1:4 for normally absorbent substrates, 1:4 to 1:5 for highly absorbent substrates, and 1:2 for concrete/screeds. Always use clean tap water.
  • Can this primer be used on exterior surfaces? Yes, it is suitable for exterior use, provided the surface is not horizontal and exposed to constant rain or moisture.
  • What is the recommended application method? For best consolidation, apply generously with a surface brush or whitewash brush. Airless spraying is also an option.
  • What is the recoating time? Under optimal conditions (+20°C, 65% RH), it can be recoated after approximately 12 hours.

Always refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for complete safety information. Ensure adequate ventilation and wear appropriate personal protective equipment during application. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep out of reach of children.
