How-To Steps

1. Substrate Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are sound, clean, dry, and free of any substances that may impair adhesion. Follow VOB, Part C, DIN 18363, para. 3. For detailed preparation of specific substrates (e.g., new plasters, concrete, ETICS), refer to Technical Information Sheet No. 650.
2. Priming Coat: On normally absorbent surfaces, apply one coat of Muresko diluted with max. 10% water. Alternatively, use OptiSilan TiefGrund as a primer.
3. Finishing Coat: Apply one coat of Muresko diluted with max. 5% water. To maintain texture on rough plaster, dilute the priming coat with 15-20% water and the finishing coat with max. 10% water.
4. Application Method: Apply with a brush, roller, or airless spray device. Clean tools with water immediately after use.
5. Airless Spray Settings: Spray Angle: 50°; Nozzle Size: 0.021–0.023″; Spray Pressure: 150–180 bar; Filter: 60 mesh.

Recommendations

For optimal results, use Caparol priming materials such as OptiSilan TiefGrund or CapaGrund Universal, depending on the substrate condition. To avoid lapping on large surfaces, apply wet-on-wet in a single pass. In cool, damp conditions, adding Caparol Trocknungsbeschleuniger can accelerate rain resistance. Note that dark shades may show light-coloured streaks under mechanical stress (writer effect), which is a characteristic of all matt facade paints.
