How to Use Colorex ÄLVA:

Before Painting:

1. Always begin by thoroughly reading the instructions on the paint can. Careful preparation and good tools are crucial for a successful painting result.
2. Stir the paint well from the bottom of the can before starting.
3. Ensure room and surface temperatures are at least +5°C for optimal results.
4. The surface must be clean, dry, and firm. Wash previously painted surfaces with paint cleaner and rinse with water.
5. Chalking surfaces (e.g., lime or distemper) should be washed and primed with a blocking primer before painting. Mattify glossy alkyd-painted surfaces by sanding.
6. Any iron parts, such as nail heads, should be primed with a suitable rust-inhibiting paint.
7. When overpainting paper wallpaper, test first to ensure the wallpaper adheres with a water-resistant adhesive and will not loosen when overpainted with water-based material. If it loosens, prime first with a suitable blocking primer. This is also recommended for heavily discolored surfaces (e.g., nicotine, soot, and water damage).
8. Remember to protect floors and furniture thoroughly before you begin painting.

Painting:

1. Apply at least two coats for full coverage using a roller, brush, or, after thinning, a high-pressure sprayer, followed by smoothing with a roller.
2. Apply generously with plenty of paint on the roller to avoid overlaps and streaks. Paint the entire surface continuously.

After Painting:

1. Wipe tools thoroughly before cleaning them with water. Seal the can tightly after use and store it out of reach of children.
2. Do not pour liquid paint residue down the drain; dispose of it at a local environmental station. This prevents complications in the wastewater treatment process. Protect the environment, as we do.

Maintenance: Clean the surface with a damp cloth and, if necessary, a mild detergent. On darker surfaces, grease stains and similar marks may be visible but are easily wiped away with a damp cloth. Never use alcohol for cleaning acrylic paints. Black marks from metal scrapes are best removed with an eraser.
