The Renner YO xxC762/–XXX series is a premium water-based converter designed specifically for professional use on interior wood surfaces. This topcoat is the definitive solution for finishing furniture and general woodwork where high hardness, a uniform matt appearance, and a soft-to-the-touch surface are required. Its advanced formulation ensures excellent performance and is optimised for various spray application methods, providing a reliable and efficient coating process for any professional workshop.

This product is ready to use, but its properties can be further enhanced. For superior chemical resistance and stacking capability, the addition of 0.5-1% YC M407 crosslinker is recommended.

Application and Drying:

Substrate Preparation:
Ensure surfaces are clean and free from traces of resin. Sand with 320-400 grit paper before application. This topcoat is suitable for application over water-based, polyester, or UV basecoats. Overcoating of nitrocellulose or polyurethane basecoats is not recommended.

Application Instructions:
For optimal results, apply using a spray gun. It is recommended to choose the best application conditions to allow maximum atomization rather than thinning with water.

– Conventional Spray Gun: Nozzle: 2 – 2.5 mm, Air Pressure: 3 – 4 bar
– Air Mix: Nozzle: 11, Coating Pressure: 80 – 110 bar
– Airless: Nozzle: 11, Coating Pressure: 120 – 150 bar

Drying Times (at 20°C, 45-65% RH, 120 g/m²):

– Dust Free: 45 minutes
– Handling: 1.5 hours
– Stackable: 12 hours

Forced Drying System (120 g/m²):

– Flash Off: 2 minutes at 30°C
– Laminar Air: 10 minutes at 45°C
– Cooling: 2 minutes at 20°C
– Stackable: After 1 hour

Recommendations & Notes:

• Always mix the product well before use.
• Do not apply at temperatures below 15°C.
• Application tools must be cleaned with water immediately after use. For dried films, use AY M460 special detergent.
• For specific performance adjustments, use the recommended Renner additives (AY M444, AY M457, AY M453, YC M407).
