Usage

• Substrate Preparation: All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from contamination. Oil, grease, salt, and dirt must be removed. Repair any damage to the primer coat, observing the primer’s overcoating time (ISO 12944-4). For concrete surfaces, refer to the respective data sheets of concrete systems.
• Environmental Conditions: The ambient air, surface, and paint temperatures should not fall below +5ºC during application and drying. The relative humidity of the air should not exceed 80%. The surface temperature of steel must remain at least 3°C above the dew point. Ensure good ventilation and sufficient air movement in confined areas.
• Mixing: Stir the base and hardener separately before combining. Mix the correct proportions of base and hardener thoroughly using a power mixer. Insufficient mixing or an incorrect mixing ratio will lead to uneven drying and weakened coating properties.
• Application (General): To achieve an even, non-porous finish, first apply a thin, misty coat. Allow solvents to evaporate for 5–30 minutes, then apply the full coat.
• Airless Spraying: Thin approximately 10–22% (depending on component temperature) to a viscosity of 20–25s (DIN4). Recommended nozzle tip: 0.011″–0.013″, pressure: 120–160 bar.
• Conventional Spraying: Thin to a viscosity of 20–25s (DIN4). Recommended nozzle tip: 1.2–1.8 mm, pressure: 3–4 bar.
• Brush Application: Thin the product as needed for brush application.
• Thinners: Thinner 1048, Thinner 1067, Thinner 1061 (Thinner 1061 is also suitable for conventional spraying).
