Usage

Application Conditions

The surface to be treated must be dry, and the temperature of the air, surface, and coating must be at least +10 °C. The relative humidity of the air should be below 80 %.

Surface Preparation

• Unpainted surfaces: Remove dirt and dust. If necessary, smooth with a suitable Presto light filler. Prime with Varma primer or Luja Universal. Apply 1–2 coats of Harmony or Nova 7 tinted to the final product’s color if desired for base uniformity.
• Previously painted surfaces: Wash with Maalipesu detergent and rinse thoroughly. If necessary, smooth with a suitable Presto filler. Sand glossy surfaces until matte and remove sanding dust. If the color difference between the substrate and the finish is significant, apply one coat of Harmony or Nova 7 tinted to the final product’s color.

Painting

Stir Tunto Hieno fine textured finish well before use. Apply the product with a roller. The surface can be patterned immediately using a wide brush, wallpaper spatula, firm brush, or patterning roller. Spread the coating in a thick layer on interior walls, approximately 1 m² at a time, and apply the final patterning immediately. Avoid excessively thick layers, as they may crack upon drying. For a homogeneous surface, ensure enough coating is mixed in a single container to prevent color differences.

Cleaning of Tools

Clean tools with water. Tikkurila Pensselipesu Tool Cleaner is recommended for removing slightly hardened paint.

Maintenance Instructions

Surfaces should be dry-cleaned using a vacuum cleaner, soft brush, or dust cloth. Handle the treated surface with care, as the product achieves its final hardness and durability in approximately 1 month under standard conditions.

Maintenance Treatment (Leveling a Textured Surface)

If plain paintwork or a different texture is desired, level the Tunto surface with a suitable Tikkurila Presto filler. Then, proceed with pretreatment steps as for unpainted surfaces.
