Usage

Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dirt, dust, loose material, mold, and blue stain. The moisture content of the wood must be below 20%.

Application Conditions: During application and drying, the temperature of the air, substrate, and product must be over +10°C, and the relative humidity below 70%. Good ventilation is essential for optimal results.

Application:

• Stir the paint carefully before use to avoid flotation.
• Airless Spraying: Thin 0–5% with water. Recommended nozzle tip: 0.013″–0.015″. Pressure: 140–180 bar.
• Air-Assisted Airless Spraying: Thin 0–5% with water. Recommended nozzle tip: 0.013″–0.015″. Pressure: 40–140 bar. Atomizing air pressure: 1–3 bar.
• Conventional Spraying: Thin 0–5% with water. Recommended nozzle tip: 1.6–2.0 mm. Pressure: 2–3 bar.
• For use as a first priming layer, Ultra Pro 30 can be thinned with water 1:1.
• To achieve long-term durability, the total dry film thickness of the paint system must exceed 80 µm (typically two coats).

Note on Discoloration: Wood contains resin and other coloring extractives, especially in knots. Temperature and humidity fluctuations may cause paint coat discoloration in these areas.

Cleaning Tools: Clean tools with water or Tikkurila Tool Cleaner immediately after use.

Storage: Opened and/or tinted packaging has a more limited shelf life than unopened and untinted packaging.
