How-To Steps

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry (wood moisture content below 20%), and free from dirt, grease, and dust. For unpainted wood, remove resin from knots and prime promptly with Villa Lasur Akva or Villa Protekt, followed by Villa Primer. For previously painted surfaces, remove loose paint with a scraper, clean with a suitable detergent, and prime worn areas or surfaces previously coated with oil paint using Villa Primer.
2. Application Conditions: Apply only when the surface and ambient temperature are above +5°C and the relative humidity is below 80%. Avoid application in direct sunlight or on hot surfaces.
3. Painting: Stir the paint thoroughly before use. If necessary, thin with water. Apply 1-2 coats of Villa Akva by brush or sprayer, depending on surface condition and colour contrast. Treat end grains with particular care to ensure complete sealing and protection.

Recommendations

For best results and to avoid colour variations, mix a sufficient amount of tinted paint in one container for each uniform surface. The paint achieves its final hardness and durability after approximately 4 weeks under normal conditions; handle the surface with care during this period.
