Designed for both professional and DIY applications, ZINGALUSPRAY offers unparalleled protection and a seamless finish, making it the go-to solution for repairing and maintaining metal structures.
At its core, ZINGALUSPRAY harnesses the power of high-purity zinc to form a robust cathodic shield that actively protects ferrous metals from rust and degradation. This isn’t just a coating; it’s a true electrochemical bond that sacrifices itself to preserve your valuable assets. Complementing this, carefully integrated aluminium flakes create a superior barrier, fending off moisture and corrosive agents while providing a brilliant, semi-gloss metallic grey finish that perfectly matches the appearance of new hot-dip galvanization.
Whether you’re touching up minor abrasions on an existing galvanized surface, repairing damage, or protecting small, newly fabricated parts, ZINGALUSPRAY offers an economical and highly efficient method. Its ease of application means you can achieve professional-grade results without complex equipment, extending the life of your metal investments with minimal effort. It’s even suitable for use in spot welding applications, providing protection where it’s needed most.
Invest in ZINGALUSPRAY today and ensure your metal surfaces remain protected, pristine, and structurally sound for years to come. Experience the confidence that comes with long-lasting cathodic and barrier protection, all from a single, powerful spray can.

Usage
Surface Preparation: ZINGALUSPRAY can be applied to ferrous metals and damaged zinc surfaces. For optimal performance, the metal should first be degreased, preferably by steam cleaning or a suitable solvent (e.g., ZINGASOLV; never white spirit). Clean to SA 2.5 (ISO 8501:2007) for optimal results, or St 3 for non-critical small areas using a steel brush. The metal substrate should have a roughness grade of fine to medium G (Rz 50 to 100 μm) according to ISO 8503-2:2012, unless applying on existing galvanization (hot-dip, metallisation, or ZINGA). Apply ZINGALUSPRAY to the prepared metal substrate as soon as possible to prevent contamination or corrosion.
Environmental Conditions During Application:
- Ambient temperature: Minimum 0°C, Maximum 50°C
- Relative humidity: Maximum 95%. Do not apply to a damp or wet surface.
- Surface temperature: Minimum 3°C above the dew point, Maximum 60°C. No visual presence of water or ice.
Application Instructions: Shake the can vigorously for at least 30 seconds after releasing the balls; repeat if the can has been unused for some time. Keep the spray between 10 and 20 cm away from the substrate and move at a continuous speed from left to right, then repeat with a top-to-bottom application. Always apply two layers; apply the second coat 1 hour after the first is touch dry. Maximum overcoat time depends on environmental conditions; if formed, zinc salts should be removed first.
Cleaning: Clean equipment or spills using ZINGASOLV.
Recommendations: ZINGALUSPRAY is advised for touch-up (on HDG, metallisation, or existing ZINGA) and application on small areas only. It should always be applied in two layers for the best results.
Frequently asked questions
- How does ZINGALUSPRAY provide corrosion protection? ZINGALUSPRAY forms a dry film containing 90% ultra-pure zinc for active cathodic protection and 4% aluminium flakes for enhanced barrier protection and a bright finish.
- Can ZINGALUSPRAY be used on already galvanized surfaces? Yes, it is specifically designed to repair and touch up damaged or aged hot-dipped, Zinganised, or other zinc-coated structures.
- What surface preparation is required before application? The surface should be degreased and cleaned (ideally to SA 2.5, or St 3 for small areas). For bare metal, achieving a roughness of Rz 50-100 μm is recommended, though not always necessary on existing galvanized layers.
- How many coats of ZINGALUSPRAY should be applied? Always apply two layers. The second coat should be applied approximately 1 hour after the first coat is touch-dry.
- What are the drying times for ZINGALUSPRAY? At 20°C, it is dust-dry in 15 minutes, touch-dry in 20 minutes, dry to handle in 60 minutes, and fully cured in 24 hours.
Always refer to the ZINGALUSPRAY safety data sheet for detailed health and safety hazards and precautions before use.
