Description
Caparol CapaGrund Universal primer white pigmented, highly water vapour permeable special primer for covering priming coats before applying emulsion-, silicone resin- and silicate-emulsion paints on mineral substrates and on existing synthetic (organic) renders/plasters and external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS/EWI systems). Also suitable as a priming coat for solvent-borne polymer resin paints.
Due to SolSilan technology CapaGrund Universal / CapaGrund Universal-W are highly water-repellent and minimise the risk of calcareous efflorescence when applying tinted finishing coats on alkaline finishing renders/plasters (mortar groups PIc, PII, PIII) and concrete.

- Water-dilutable, ecologically compatible, low odour.
- Promotes adhesion.
- Forms a suitable substrate for subsequently applied silicate-emulsion paints.
- Highly diffusion-capable, sd H2O 0.06 m according to DIN EN 1062.
- Low water permeability, w-value 0.05 [kg/(m2·h0,5)] according to DIN EN 1062.
