Usage

Before Painting: Always read the instructions on the paint can. Use good-quality tools and prepare the surface carefully for the best results. Stir the paint well from the bottom before you begin. Air and surface temperature are crucial; do not paint if it is colder than +5°C, and ideally, avoid temperatures below +8°C. Confirm the substrate is dry, with a maximum moisture content of 16%. Avoid painting on sunny surfaces or if there is a risk of rain within the next 24 hours or dew within 1-2 hours after painting. Be aware that old linseed oil/linseed oil paint can cause blisters. The substrate must be clean, dry, and firm.

Painting Untreated Wood: If untreated wood has been outdoors for more than 4 weeks, wash it, disinfect it, and remove loose wood fibers. Then prime the entire surface, including end grain, with 1 coat of a suitable outdoor primer (e.g., Utegrund Kombi).

Painting Previously Painted Surfaces: Wash surfaces with products designed for pre-painting cleaning and allow them to dry completely. If fungal or algae infestation is present, treat the surface with an appropriate cleaner like Hagmans Algtvätt. Scrape or wire brush away any loose paint and wood fibers. Prime any clean, exposed wood surfaces. Finish with two coats of Hagmans Facade Paint Titan, allowing the recommended drying time between coats. Use a dense brush to work the paint well into the wood.

After Painting: Close the paint can tightly after use and store it in a frost-free location, out of reach of children. Do not pour liquid paint residues down the drain; dispose of them responsibly at your local waste disposal station.

Maintenance: For ongoing maintenance, use a soft scrub brush moistened with water and, if necessary, an appropriate maintenance wash.
