Usage

Substrate Preparation: Ensure the wood surface is thoroughly cleaned. Fill any grout lines with SolidFiller mixed with wood sanding powder. Once dry, sand raw wood (100-150 grit recommended), ensuring no traces of grease, waxes, or glues remain. Vacuum-clean the flooring before coating. For stained material, use water-insoluble pigments. For resinous, dark, or hard timbers (e.g., iroko, merbau), a first coat of SolidBase primer (catalysed 10% with Solid2K) is recommended for improved aesthetics and adhesion.

Product Preparation: Mix well to homogenize any settled product. Add 10% Solid2K hardener while stirring vigorously for one minute. During the first coat, dilute 5-10% with SolidLongLife. Pot life of the catalysed product is max. 4 hours (3 hours in summer); re-catalyse if needed.

Application Instructions: Apply the first coat, diluted 10% with tap water on dry wood or in summer. Wait at least 12 hours before sanding with 150-220 grit sandpaper (or 180-240 grit with mechanical systems). Vacuum-clean, then add 10% Solid2K and apply the second coat. A third coat can be applied without sanding after 3-4 hours if desired. The treated surface can be carefully trodden after 16 hours. Ideal hardness is reached within a week. Wait at least 72 hours before placing furniture.

Application Conditions: Apply at room temperatures between 10-35°C (ideal 15-25°C). Relative humidity should be between 40-80%. Screed humidity should be a minimum of 10% (measured by hygrometer).

Tools Cleaning: Before the product dries, clean rollers/brushes with water.
