Application Guide:

1. Substrate Preparation:
– New Wood: Ensure the surface is clean and dry. Sand the bare wood with 150-180 grit paper. Remove all dust with a vacuum cleaner before application.
– Restoration: For previously finished surfaces, lightly sand with 400-grit paper, clean thoroughly, and then apply the catalyzed oil.
– Coloured Finish: To add colour, small quantities of TY M003 series colorants or iron oxides can be added directly to the clear YS-M009 version.
2. Product Preparation:
– The product is supplied ready to use. Mix well before application.
– Catalyzation (Recommended): To significantly increase abrasion and chemical resistance, catalyze at a 5% ratio with hardener YC M403. This is strongly recommended for the YS-M009/T94 version and for use on tannin-rich woods (e.g., Iroko, Merbau).
– Thinning (If Required): During warm summer conditions, the product can be thinned 5-10% with tap water or AY M450 to improve flow and application.
3. Application Process:
– Apply the first coat evenly at a recommended quantity of 50-80 g/m².
– Allow to dry for 2-4 hours.
– Lightly sand the surface with 320-400 grit paper to eliminate any fiber swelling. Remove sanding dust completely.
– Apply the second coat. If a third coat is required for enhanced protection, apply it after an additional 2-4 hours have passed.

Important Recommendations:

The temperature of the product, substrate, and working environment must not fall below 15°C during application and drying to ensure optimal performance.
Clean all application tools with water immediately after use. To remove dried film, use the special detergent AY-M460.
Dispose of leftover product and cleaning water in accordance with local regulations.
