When exposed to heat, the intumescent properties of Fontefire WF Clear are activated. The lacquer expands to form a robust, insulating foam layer that significantly slows combustion. How-To Steps

Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, with a moisture content below 15%. Apply in conditions where air, surface, and lacquer temperatures are above +15°C and relative humidity is between 20% and 60%. Stir lacquer carefully before use, avoiding high speeds to prevent foam. For airless spraying, use a 0.015″-0.026″ nozzle tip with 60-80 bar pressure. For air-assisted airless spraying, use a 0.013″-0.015″ nozzle tip with 40-80 bar pressure and 1-3 bar atomizing air pressure. The product is not to be thinned. Apply the recommended amount of 2 x 100 g/m² or 2 x 125 g/m².

For industrial use only. To be applied by professionals with sufficient knowledge and expertise. On surfaces exposed to splashes, wear, or abrasion, a protective topcoat such as Akvilac WF 10 or Akvi Top DS 25 must be used. For use only in dry indoor areas. Opened packaging has a limited shelf life.
