How-To Steps

1. Preparation: Ensure the wood is dry (moisture below 20%) and clean from dirt, dust, and mould. Sand previously treated surfaces to ensure good adhesion.
2. Application: Stir the product thoroughly before and during use. Apply two thin, even coats with a brush or sponge, working along the grain of the wood. For best results on new or bare wood, use Tikkurila Valtti Primer first.
3. Cleaning: Clean tools immediately after use with soap and water.

Recommendations

The final colour will depend on the wood species, its original colour, and the number of coats. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first. To ensure a consistent colour for a large area, mix a sufficient amount of stain from the same batch. Protect plants and surrounding surfaces from splashes. Used cloths and rags can self-ignite; before disposal, wet them with water and store them in a sealed metal container.
