Description
ADLER Lignovit Interior UV 100 | Professional Interior Wood Glaze with Advanced UV Protection | Eco-Certified & Water-Based
Lignovit Interior UV 100 is a premium, water-based wood glaze developed for the professional finishing of interior wood surfaces. This advanced, thin-layer coating is formulated to preserve the natural character and beauty of softwoods, providing a durable, transparent, and matt finish. Its unique composition includes highly effective UV absorbers that protect the wood’s lignin from degradation, significantly extending the stability of the wood’s natural appearance compared to conventional colourless glazes. By preventing yellowing and darkening, Lignovit Interior UV 100 ensures that your wood elements remain bright and authentic for years to come.
Engineered for a healthy living environment, this product features high breathability, which contributes to a balanced indoor climate. Its low-emission, water-based formula makes it a responsible choice for both applicators and occupants.

Step-by-Step Application Guide
For optimal results, please follow these professional application steps:
1. Substrate Preparation:
Ensure the wood surface is dry, clean, and free from defects. It must be completely free of grease, wax, silicone, and resin. For a uniform appearance, sand smooth wooden surfaces (e.g., planed wood) with 120-grit sandpaper in the direction of the grain. Thoroughly remove all sanding dust. Round any sharp edges to ensure consistent coating thickness.
2. Application Conditions:
Stir the product well before use, taking care to avoid introducing air bubbles. The temperature of the product, the room, and the wood surface must all be at least +10°C. Optimal application conditions are between 15°C and 25°C with a relative humidity of 40% to 80%.
3. Coating Process:
-
Primer Coat: Apply one even coat of Lignovit Interior UV 100.
-
Intermediate Sanding (if necessary): After the primer coat has dried (approx. 1 hour), you may lightly sand the surface with 240-280 grit sandpaper to remove any raised wood fibres. Remove all sanding dust.
-
Finishing Coat: Apply a second coat of Lignovit Interior UV 100.
4. Cleaning:
Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use. To remove dried paint residues, we recommend using ADLER Aqua-Cleaner (8029), diluted 1:1 with water.
