Description
ADLER Pullex 3in1-Lasur | All-in-One Exterior Wood Glaze | Matt Finish & Weather Protection
Pullex 3in1-Lasur is the definitive, all-in-one solution for protecting and enhancing the appearance of exterior wood. Developed for both dedicated DIY enthusiasts and professional tradespeople, this universal, solvent-based wood glaze combines a primer, intermediate coat, and finishing coat into a single, efficient product. Formulated with high-quality long-oil alkyd resins, it penetrates deeply into the wood to provide robust, long-term durability. Its advanced, open-pore composition results in a stunningly natural, matt surface with an exceptionally even colour, enhancing the inherent beauty of the timber while offering formidable protection.
This product is engineered to simplify your workflow without compromising on quality, delivering a professional-grade finish that stands the test of time and weather.
Key Benefits of Pullex 3in1-Lasur
- All-in-One System: Save time and effort. This innovative formula serves as a primer, mid-coat, and topcoat, streamlining the application process from start to finish.
- Superior Weather & Water Resistance: The glaze creates a highly protective barrier against moisture, ensuring your woodwork is shielded from the damaging effects of rain and humidity.
- Advanced Biocidal Protection: The coating is actively protected against blue stain and mould, preserving the wood’s pristine appearance and structural integrity.
- Breathable Matt Finish: Its open-pore nature allows the wood to breathe, preventing issues like blistering and peeling. The finish provides a sophisticated, non-reflective matt look that enhances the wood’s natural grain.
- Long-Term Durability & Graceful Aging: Designed for lasting performance, the coating weathers uniformly over time, ensuring a seamless appearance. This makes future maintenance simple, avoiding the need for extensive stripping or sanding.
- Modern, Responsible Formulation: Free from aromatic compounds and cobalt, this glaze aligns with contemporary standards for wood finishing products.
Ideal Application Areas
Pullex 3in1-Lasur is expertly designed for non-dimensionally stable and dimensionally stable exterior timber components. It is the perfect choice for:
- Wooden Houses and Timber Cladding.
- Canopies and Carports.
- Profile Boards and Façades.
- Window Shutters.
- Balconies and Gates.
Technical Features
- Product Base: Solvent-based, long-oil alkyd resin.
- Finish: Matt.
- Application Method: Brushing.
- Coverage: Approximately 80-100 ml/m² per coat on smooth wood. Rough-sawn timber may require up to 40% more material.
- Drying Time: Recoatable after approximately 12 hours (at 23°C and 50% relative humidity). Lower temperatures or higher humidity will extend drying times.
How to Apply Pullex 3in1-Lasur
For a professional and durable finish, please follow these steps:
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the wood substrate is dry, clean, and free of dust, grease, wax, or resin. For optimal adhesion and longevity, sand smooth surfaces with 80-120 grit sandpaper in the direction of the grain. Round any sharp edges. For woods rich in resins or extracts, clean with ADLER Nitro-Verdünner (8017).
- Impregnation (If Necessary): For timbers with lower natural durability (durability class 3-5), we recommend a pre-treatment coat of Pullex Imprägnier-Grund (4436) to protect against blue stain, fungal decay, and insect infestation. Allow to dry for approximately 12 hours.
- Application Conditions: Stir the product thoroughly before use. Apply only when the ambient and surface temperature is above +5°C. The ideal conditions are 15-25°C with a relative humidity between 40-80%. Avoid application in direct sunlight, rain, or high humidity.
- Coating Application:
-
First Coat: Apply one even coat of Pullex 3in1-Lasur with a high-quality brush.
-
Intermediate Coat: After approximately 12 hours of drying time, apply a second coat. For surfaces exposed to heavy weathering or when using light colour shades, a third coat is recommended for maximum protection.
-
Finishing Coat: Apply the final coat of Pullex 3in1-Lasur. A minimum of two pigmented coats is necessary to ensure good weather resistance.
-
-
Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean brushes and tools immediately after use with Adlerol-Terpentinölersatz (7231). To maintain the finish, inspect the surface annually. Clean away any dirt and apply one or two fresh coats of Pullex 3in1-Lasur as needed.
