• Ingredients: Modified vegetable oils, waxes, pigments, silicic acid, low-odor benzines, lead-free and cobalt-free driers, MEKO-free anti-skinning agent.
• Application Areas: For surface treatment of low to normal stress areas in furniture and interior finishing, such as bedroom and living room furnishings, wall paneling, or wooden ceilings.
• Colors: Gold (7046112793), Silver (7046112794). The final color heavily depends on the wood’s natural color and the quantity of application.
• Container Sizes: 750 ml.
• Yield per Coat: 15-30 m²/l (includes spray loss; actual consumption varies with workpiece shape, surface, and application method).
• Drying Times (at 23°C and 50% r.F.):
  • Subsequent Treatment: 5 hours.
  • Fully Cured: 7 days.

Usage

• Substrate Preparation: The substrate must be dry, clean, sound, free of separating substances such as grease, wax, silicone, or resin, and free of wood dust. Sand with grit 150-240 and clean. For a more intense pore-accentuated metallic effect, brush the substrate.
• Application Conditions: Product, object, and room temperature must be at least +10 °C. Optimal processing conditions are between 20 and 25 °C, with a relative humidity of 40-60%. Ensure good room ventilation for proper drying.
• Basic Treatment: Apply 1 coat of Legno Metallic-Öl (7046). Alternatively, use Legno Color (7007) or Legno Smart-Öl (7045) in the desired shade.
• Finishing Treatment: Apply 1 coat of Legno Metallic-Öl (7046). For mechanically stressed surfaces, an additional final treatment with Legno Oil (7006) is recommended.
• Application Method: Stir product before use. The product is ready to use. Allow the applied product to soak in briefly, then carefully wipe off any excess along the grain with a cotton cloth or gauze pad. Film formation must be avoided!
• Customizing Metallic Effect: The metallic effect’s intensity can be controlled by mixing Legno Metallic-Öl (7046) with Legno Oil (7006) in any ratio. Pay attention to uniform wood sanding and product application for an even effect.
• Tool Cleaning: Immediately after use with Legno Cleaner (7003) or Adlerol-Turpentine substitute (7231).
• Surface Cleaning: Clean with water, Clean-Furniture Cleaner (7202), or a mild household cleaner. For greasy stains, use Legno Cleaner (7003). Abrasive cleaning agents must not be used.
• Care: For refreshing and maintenance, apply 1 coat of Legno Care Oil (7009) and wipe off excess. Please refer to our ARL 260 – Care instructions for furniture treated with Legno Metallic-Öl 7046.
• Important Notes:
  • Perform a test treatment with Legno Metallic-Öl (7046) on content-rich hardwoods and tropical woods.
  • For the interior surfaces of furniture and cabinets, apply this product thinly, only once, due to possible odor nuisance.
  • Any changes to the processing sequence, environmental conditions, disregard of instructions, or use of unlisted products can negatively affect the result.
