Usage

Substrate Preparation: Ensure the wood surface is thoroughly clean. Fill any grout lines using SolidFiller mixed with sanding dust. Once dry, sand the raw wood (recommended 100-150 grit) to remove grease, waxes, or glue residues. Vacuum the floor thoroughly before coating. For stained materials, use water-insoluble pigments.

Product Preparation & Catalysis: Mix the product well. Add 5% Solid2K hardener while stirring vigorously for one minute. The pot life of the catalysed product is a maximum of 4 hours (3 hours in summer). It is recommended to dilute the first coat by 5-10% with SolidLongLife or tap water, especially on dry wood or during warmer conditions.

Application: Apply using a roller or brush. For the first coat, apply the diluted product. Wait at least 6 hours before sanding with 220-280 grit sandpaper (or 320-360 grit with a mechanical system). Vacuum clean thoroughly. Apply the second coat after adding 5% Solid2K. If a third coat is desired, apply it 2-3 hours after the second without additional sanding.

Drying & Curing: The treated surface can be carefully walked on after 16 hours. Full surface hardness is achieved within one week. We recommend waiting at least 48 hours after the final coat before placing furniture.

Application Conditions: Apply at room temperatures between +10 and +35°C (ideal 15-25°C) with relative humidity between 40% and 80%. Screed humidity should not exceed 10%.

Cleaning & Maintenance: Clean tools immediately after use with water before the product dries. For prefinished floors treated with SolidOilNature: remove non-hardened adhesive with a clean cloth, and hardened adhesive gently with a fingernail or plastic tool, dabbing with SolidClean if needed.

Safety: Use latex, rubber, or polyethylene gloves to avoid skin contact. Ensure good room ventilation during application due to minimal solvent release.
