Usage

Surface Preparation:

• General: Wash oils, greases, salts, and dirt with a suitable detergent (ISO 12944-4).
• Steel Surfaces: Blast clean to Sa2½ (ISO 8501-1). If not possible, phosphating is recommended for cold-rolled steel.
• Galvanized Surfaces: Blast clean with mineral abrasives to SaS (SFS 5873) or alternatively sand. Metal roofs should be washed with Panssaripesu.
• Aluminum Surfaces: Blast clean with non-metallic abrasives to SaS or alternatively sand or wash with Maalipesu.
• Primed Surfaces: Wash off contaminants, remove loose paint, repair damage, and observe recoating times.
• Old Alkyd and Sheet Surfaces (excluding PVDF): Mechanically clean rust to St2. Abrade hard, glossy surfaces. Wash with Panssaripesu.

System Components:

• Recommended Primers: Temaprime EE, Temacoat GF Primer. The paint is suitable for use without a primer (e.g., for metal sheet roofs).
• Recommended Topcoat: Temaclad SC 50.

Application Conditions:

• Surface must be clean and dry. Surface temperature must be above 0°C.
• The steel temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point.
• Product temperature during mixing must be above 15°C.
• Not recommended for painting if the surface exceeds 40°C.
• Ensure good ventilation in enclosed spaces. Condensation can lead to a matt surface.

Mixing Components and Application:

• Mixing: Stir base and hardener separately, then together with a mechanical mixer.
• Application: By airless/conventional spray or brush. Can be diluted 0-10%.
• Sprayer: Nozzle 0.013″-0.019″ (0.33-0.48 mm), pressure 120-160 bar.
• Thinners / Cleaning: Thinner 1048, Thinner 1067.
