Usage

Surface Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, salts, and dirt. (ISO 12944-4)

• Steel Surfaces: Blast clean to at least grade Sa2 (ISO 8501-1). For small damages, tool clean to St2. If blast cleaning is not feasible, phosphating is recommended for cold-rolled steel to enhance adhesion.
• Zinc Surfaces: Sweep blast clean with mineral abrasives (e.g., quartz sand) to an even roughness (SaS, SFS 5873). Alternatively, roughen by hand abrading or wash with Panssaripesu detergent. For hot-dip galvanized surfaces, consult Tikkurila Technical Service for specific instructions.
• Aluminium Surfaces: Sweep blast clean with non-metallic abrasives to an even roughness (SaS, SFS 5873). If sweep blasting is not possible, roughen by hand abrading or wash with Maalipesu detergent.
• Primed Surfaces: Remove oil, grease, salt, and dirt. Repair any damage to the primer coat, observing the overcoating time of the existing primer. (ISO 12944-4)

Application Conditions: The ambient air, surface, and paint temperatures must not fall below +5ºC during application and drying. Relative humidity should not exceed 80%. Steel surface temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point. Ensure good ventilation and sufficient air movement in confined areas.

Mixing: Stir the product carefully before use to ensure homogeneity.

Application Method:

• Airless Spraying: Thin product approximately 0–5%. Recommended nozzle tip 0.011″–0.015″, pressure 120–160 bar. Adjust spray angle based on object shape.
• Brush Application: Thin according to circumstances.
