How-To Steps

1. Surface Preparation: Remove oil, grease, and salts. For steel, blast clean to grade Sa2½ (ISO 8501-1). For zinc and aluminium, sweep blast clean with mineral or non-metallic abrasives to create an even roughness.
2. Mixing: Stir base and hardener separately. Mix thoroughly in a 4:1 base-to-hardener volume ratio using a power mixer. Insufficient mixing will impair performance.
3. Application: Apply via airless spray, thinning 0-15% with Thinner 1031. Recommended nozzle tip is 0.011″-0.017″ at 120-160 bar pressure. Brush application is suitable only for stripe coating. Ensure substrate temperature is at least 3°C above dew point.

Recommendations

Ensure good ventilation in confined areas during application and drying. The product should not be applied at temperatures below 0°C, where ice may form on the substrate. For applications requiring high aesthetic standards on color and gloss retention, it is recommended to use a polyurethane topcoat.
