Rio Verde RS3010 Uniform PlusMulti-Purpose Primer is a professional solution designed to prepare surfaces for a flawless finish. This white, water-based, acrylic resin primer is an indispensable primer for both interior and exterior work, providing excellent results on a wide variety of surfaces. Its formula has been specially developed to tackle difficult problems such as the migration of tannins from wood and the isolation of stubborn stains, thus guaranteeing a perfect and long-lasting final coating.

Uniform Plus is a high-performance primer that serves as a bonding agent between the surface and the final coat of paint. The product is designed to improve adhesion to materials that are traditionally difficult to treat such as glass, PVC or galvanised steel. At the same time, it serves as an effective barrier layer to prevent stains and wood natural substances (tannins) from pushing through the top coat of paint.

• Anti-tannin protection: when applied to wood, RS3010 Uniform Plus stops the migration of tannins and oily substances. It prevents the appearance of yellowish or brownish stains on light coloured surfaces, maintaining a flawless shade in the long term.
• Easy vertical application: thanks to its thixotropic properties, it does not drip or form runs during application, making work on vertical surfaces particularly easy and clean.
• User-friendly formulation: The product is water-based, so it has a low odour and tools are easy to clean. It is formaldehyde and styrene free.

Directions for use

For best results, it is important to prepare the surface correctly and follow the application instructions.

1. Surface preparation: The surface to be treated must be dry, clean, degreased and dust-free.

2. Untreated wood:

   • Sand the surface with sandpaper (grit 150-180).

   • Remove dust and grease.

   • Apply 2-3 coats of RS3010 Uniform Plus.

3. Pre-treated wood:

   • Sand the surface with sandpaper (180-240 grit).

   • If the old coating peels off, remove it completely.

   • Clean the surface of dust and grease.

   • Apply 2-3 coats of primer.

4. Other surfaces (metal, plastic, glass, etc.):

   • Clean the surface thoroughly of dust and grease.

   • To improve adhesion, it is recommended to lightly sand the surface with sandpaper (grit 180-240).

   • Apply 2-3 coats of the product.

   • Important: If you are treating a rusted metal surface, first remove the rust completely with sandpaper or a metal brush and apply an anti-corrosion agent. Apply RS3010 Uniform Plus only afterwards.

Final coating

Once completely dry, RS3010 Uniform Plus can be coated with various Rioverde finishing products such as Decogrip Solution RE20xx, Prestige RBxxx0, Floorings and Furniture Topcoat RPxx60 or Natural Effect Topcoat RO3000 to achieve the desired aesthetic and functional result.
