Rioverde Floor Prestige is a high-tech, one-component, matt finish designed for refinishing a wide range of flooring types and surfaces. It is the ideal choice for areas with heavy foot traffic, providing excellent resistance to wear and mechanical stress. The product has a low odour and low VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions, making it a responsible choice for renovating your premises.

Surface Preparation and Application:

Before painting, the surface must be immaculate, dry, degreased, and dust-free. Use acetone for degreasing. Please do not use other commercially available degreasers or solvents, as they may leave residues and impair adhesion.

• Waxed surfaces: Before applying Floor Prestige, remove the wax with a remover, then rinse and degrease with acetone.
• Very smooth surfaces: Lightly sand extremely smooth surfaces such as marble with sandpaper (P220 for metal). Clean sanding dust completely. Light sanding improves adhesion on any smooth substrate.
• Tile joints: Tile joints are porous and accumulate dirt, interfering with paint adhesion and aesthetic results. Clean the seams thoroughly mechanically, e.g., with a steel brush.
• For surfaces subject to high chemical and/or mechanical stress (e.g. baths, gym floors, laboratory floors) it is recommended to add 2% (up to 4%) Adhesion Promoter RY0406 to Floor Prestige. The 0.05 L pack is designed to be added to a 2.5 L pack of Floor Prestige.
  Apply the product evenly. Depending on ambient conditions, apply a second coat after at least 2-4 hours. Two or three coats are recommended for high-traffic surfaces. For surfaces subject to heavy use, Floor Prestige can be additionally protected with a topcoat of water-based lacquers.
  Ensure good room ventilation during drying. Avoid applying a coat of paint that is too thick to achieve a good drying quality; too much product may prevent complete drying, leaving the coating damp and less effective.
