Usage

Surface Preparation:

• Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and solid.
• Scrape off any loose old plaster, chalk, or paint.
• Clean previously painted surfaces with a suitable cleaner and rinse thoroughly with water.
• For highly absorbent surfaces (plaster, concrete, mineral paints), priming with a mineral primer may be beneficial, though often not required for BETOSIL Facade.
• Completely remove any dense alkyd paint layers, as they hinder vapor diffusion.

Application Conditions:

• Air and surface temperature must be at least +5°C.
• Air humidity should not exceed 80%.
• Avoid painting on hot or sunlit surfaces, or late in the day when dew risk is high.
• New plaster surfaces require 4-6 weeks to dry completely before painting.
• Can be applied over surfaces previously coated with silicate paints.

Application:

• Apply 1-2 coats using a brush, roller, or spray gun until full coverage is achieved.
• For the first coat, the paint can be diluted with up to 10% water if necessary.
• Avoid applying excessively thick layers, as this can reduce vapor diffusion.
• Allow 2-4 hours drying time between coats.
• Tools should be thoroughly wiped clean before washing with water.

• Store in a dry, cool place in the original, unopened packaging.
• Protect from frost.
• Ensure good ventilation during application and when sanding treated surfaces.
