Usage

Surface Preparation: Surfaces must be clean, dry, sound, and free of any loose particles, old paint, grease, oil, wax, mildew, or other contaminants. Always wash the surface with an appropriate detergent (e.g., Mathys Multicleaner). Sand any remaining paint film edges smooth. For exposed exterior wood, sand with 80-100 grit sandpaper to remove loose or weathered fibers. Attempt to remove existing stains by washing or sanding. Spot prime knots and sap streaks with Zinsser B-I-N Primer before applying Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Plus to the full surface.

Directions for Use: Stir thoroughly before and during use. While spot-priming is possible for high-opacity topcoats, grounding the entire surface is recommended for maximum results. Keep the packaging sealed when the product is not in use. Do not mix Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Plus with any other paint due to potential incompatibility.

Application & Thinning:

• Brush: Use a nylon, polyester, or synthetic brush. Do not dilute.
• Roller: Use a nylon, polyester, or synthetic roller. Do not dilute.
• Airless Spray: Use a 0.017-inch spray opening at 140-170 bar pressure. Do not dilute.
• Air-Atomized Spray: Apply at 3-4 bar pressure.

Cleaning of Equipment / Spills: Clean equipment with liquid detergent and warm water immediately after use. For dried spills or drips, use methylated spirits or an appropriate solvent. If dried on tools, soak overnight in Mathys Brush Cleaner and scrub bristles clean with a wire brush. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning spray equipment.

Remarks: Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Plus can be tinted with up to 10ml of universal colorant per 1 L, which can improve the topcoat’s coverage. Note that lower temperatures, high substrate moisture, and the addition of colorants will extend both dry and cure times.
