Its unique self-priming formula means you can apply it directly to most surfaces without prior sanding or a separate primer, saving you time and effort. The flexible coating adapts to surface movement, offering superb resistance to cracking, blistering, and flaking, as well as to the most severe weather conditions, including rain and extreme temperatures.

Beyond its protective qualities, ALLCOAT® Exterior Matt excels in aesthetics. It boasts excellent colour retention, ensuring your chosen shade remains vibrant and true for years to come. Furthermore, it protects the dry coating from mould contamination, maintaining a clean and fresh appearance.

The quick 1-hour recoat time allows for efficient application of multiple coats, enabling you to complete projects faster. A two-layer system is recommended: the first layer acts as a primer, sealing the surface, while the top layer completes the sealing and provides a durable final finish. For areas with high exposure, such as window sills and eaves, an extra layer is advised.

Usage

Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and completely free of dust, dirt, grease, oil, wax, mould, and glue residues. Remove any old, non-adhering layers of paint. Clean the surface using Rust-Oleum ND14. For effective removal of algae and mould, use Mathys AMW concentrate.

Directions for Use: Mix carefully before application to ensure consistent colour and finish.

Application Conditions: Apply when temperatures are above 10°C and relative humidity is below 85%.

Application Methods:

• Brush: Use a brush with synthetic bristles.
• Roller: Apply with a synthetic roller.
• Airless Spray: Recommended nozzle size is 0.017, with a pressure of 140 – 170 bar.

Cleaning of Equipment / Spills: Clean tools and remove any spills using lukewarm soapy water immediately after use.

Remarks: ALLCOAT® Exterior Matt is not recommended for use on floors, terraces, or horizontal surfaces that may be drenched in water or exposed to water for extended periods. Before applying to unweathered/new powder coatings and similar surfaces, we recommend thorough sanding and degreasing. This product is not suitable for application onto new plastisol or new powder coatings; these surfaces must be fully weathered. For PVDF cladding, apply Rust-Oleum PVDF Primer first. ALLCOAT® Exterior Matt has no anti-corrosive properties. On bare ferrous metal surfaces, prime with Zinsser® 1-2-3. For rusty surfaces, prime with Rust-Oleum® Peganox® or CombiColor® Aqua Primer.
